May 2017 Updates

Huge Turnout

We are just a couple trail days and group rides into dirt season and the turnout at events has been amazing! I think for the first time in history, we’ve had more people turn out at a trail day – to do unpaid manual labor – than we have had at a group ride! We are lucky to be part of this community, and can’t thank you enough for making the Chippewa Valley (and beyond!) such a great place to mountain bike. And trail run. And hike. And ride or run on the road once in a while.

Eau Claire Bike Week

The fine folks at Wisconsin Bike Fed are once again putting on Bike Week. There will be bike-centric events every day for a whole week! June 3-11, 2017. CORBA will do the group ride on Monday night (June 5) at Lowes Creek at 6pm, and then Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day on Saturday (June 10) at 10am.

Upcoming Trail Days

If you haven’t already, please like us on Facebook. Or check out our events page for upcoming trail days, rides, races, etc. Next up – June 3rd, two trail days – one at Pipestone and one at Lowes Creek. If you show up to a trail day, we’ve got a CORBA Trail Crew shirt for you! After that, we will be getting ready for the Firecracker, set for the last weekend in June. If you have some free time, and are interested in getting a cool volunteer shirt and world famous Firecracker socks, we’d love to have your help – sign up here.

Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day

It was so much fun last year, that we’re going to do it again! Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day is coming back to Lowes Creek on Saturday, June 10. Get more information and RSVP here. There will be rides, a skills course, food, beverages, t-shirts for volunteers, and water bottles for participants! We would love to have you help out – please sign up here if you can.

Smile Account

Did you know that CORBA has an Amazon Smile Account? If you are so inclined, you can click this link, search for and choose “Chippewa Off Road”, and then for every purchase you make through Amazon, a small percentage gets donated to CORBA. Here is more info.
