Red Flint Firecracker June 24, 2012

The Chippewa Off Road Bike Association (CORBA) would like to welcome new and returning racers to the eight annual Red Flint Firecracker! Once again, the Firecracker will bring you excellent riding at a family friendly event with onsite camping both Friday and Saturday nights. CORBA trail builders remain dedicated to making this a great race and all proceeds go directly to trail building throughout the Chippewa Valley. Fantastic Sams joins us again in hosting the Kids Race.

Racers can plan on finding the course ready to pre-ride on Friday afternoon. It will be your chance to check out trail improvements, test your skills on our rock gardens and wind your way through the pine trees. You’ll appreciate the opportunity to pre-ride trails such as Skull, WTF and Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde!

Our goal is to provide you great trails AND an incredible weekend of bikes and camaraderie. Saturday, June 24th will be filled with great activities for the whole family, course pre-rides and our popular All-You-Can-Eat pasta feed, a fund raiser for McDonnell High cross country team. Finish your evening off with a campfire or night ride.

Start your race day with an amazing All-You-Can-Eat breakfast (fundraiser for the cross country team). Enjoy our expo area with local vendors, race watching and concessions with food for purchase. The course will once again be very spectator friendly with plenty of elevated viewing areas. Once you’ve completed your race, relax at the Racer Lounge and enjoy the shade, free snacks and water. And don’t forget, we will have great swag for all registered racers!!!!

Not a rider? Join us for the Firecracker Trail Run, sponsored by the Smiling Moose. We’ll have both short and long courses marked and ready to go for all the runners!

Not racing? We are always in need of volunteers, who also receive a swag bag PLUS a tshirt! Please be sure to watch the CORBA message board for course updates and race enhancements that are still being worked on. We guarantee you will not be disappointed!
