Just a reminder about trail work tonight at NWP, meet at the cul-de-sac at the end of Van Es Pkwy, 530-6.

I'm heading out there tonight after work to shore up the log fence protecting the creek crossing with Old Flat Top, which should go fast, and then i'll make a bit of headway on GoatPath.

A little late but I want to thank all the people who showed up for trail work on the 20th.  Jon, Craig, Mark, John, Jay, Coty, Aaron (with little helpers).  We got a lot done on Goat Path and will definitely finish the current section off on Oct. 4.  Next up is the unfinished switchback prior to the long straight climb to the top and maybe some of the super techy Goat Path…  If we get the same sized crew we can make some major headway on both projects!

Tuesday, September 20th, marks the beginning of fall trail building at NWP.  First off is finishing the trail that goes from the switchbacks to the top of the hill.  It’s roughed in at this point and from the looks of things, it appears to be getting some traffic.  Let’s finish it off.  We’ll be moving dirt, so bring hoes, rakes, and the like.  Garden rakes work too so bring those along as well.


Let’s meet at 5pm at the end of Van Es Parkway and head off into the woods.  For those that arrive a little later just head out on the single track and make your first right.  We’ll be about ½ mile in or so…you can’t miss us.  I’ll see if CORBA has any that beer left…
